Blogger Interrupted

Hi folks! I just wanted to apologize for not posting more/making the rounds to everyone’s blogs. I’ve messed up my back and can only sit for small periods of time. I’m mending as we speak, but just wanted to post a quickie note to let everyone know as soon as I’m able, I’ll be posting regularly and visiting often!

In the meantime, I thought I’d quickly share a few pics I snapped on Christmas day while taking the pooch for a walk.

I find different types of weather interesting. Even though these shots may seem a bit gloomy for a Christmas day, I still think they carry a powerful beauty.

I hope everyone is enjoying these last few days of 2008. I’m excited for 2009, and all the good things in store. Have a great week!

Just an update–I managed to get my back sorted through some Physio. I’m looking forward to getting back into the groove and getting back to the gym. I find that when I skip workouts, my back does tend to act up (thanks for the reminder, Wulf!)

Those are lovely pictures, Angela! Not gloomy, but rather crisp and clean and natural… see what a good effect your thesaurus has had on me 🙂

Hope your back is better soon, and the best of the New Year to you and Becca and your families!

And… if you have frequent back troubles, you should consider a therapy program involving some form of daily exercise.

A one-hour session with any therapist or trainer is probably enough to get a good program together.

Strengthening the surrounding muscles will really do wonders for the structural integrity.

Get better soon! A hurt back is no picnic.

Oh no! I hope your back feels better ASAP and that you go into 2009 feeling 100%. Those photos are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them! Happy New Year & take care!!

Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes. I’ve had back problems off and on for the last 10 years due to a disc injury, but this time it’s my fault. The torsion spring on our garage door broke and I decided I could hold it open while my husband got his car out of the garage…(those doors are damn heavy when there’s no mechanical thingamabobs to take on most of the weight!)

Luckily, the part of my back injured isn’t where I usually suffer pain, so that’s good.

Anyway, you really lifted my spirit–hugs back to all!

Gloomy? No way! That is what winter is supposed to look like. Looking at those photos, I feel a little wistful that I’ve missed winter in Scotland this year.

As one who has had her share of strained muscles, I sympathize with you and hope that your back gets better soon! Don’t rush your recovery, though — that’s a mistake I often make.

I’m a photographer, and appreciate your pictures very much. And I just got over a pulled muscle in my back, so I understand your pain.

Good luck with recovery!

Oh, FEEL BETTER. Having just gone through the back/neck pain from Hades, I totally understand. Take care of yourself, okay?

Gentle, gentle hugs…
