Helping writers become bestselling authors

2021 Advent Prize: A Complete Manuscript Package by The Spun Yarn

Today’s Giveaway

Imagine if three veteran beta readers gave you feedback on your finished manuscript, which was then analyzed and curated into a report for you by a seasoned editor.

You’re not dreaming – you can win this prize!

At a value of $499, the Complete Manuscript Package is The Spun Yarn‘s most detailed manuscript critique, curated by The Spun Yarn Editor based on full reads from three veteran readers.

The Spun Yarn starts by selecting readers according to your genre and any other demographic factors you’d like us to consider: if you’ve written a YA they will assign a mix of teen and adult YA lovers, or if you’ve written in a specific setting they will tap one of our readers from the area. Each reader reads your full MS (up to 100,000 words) and answers a series of questions, including real-time check-ins, overall quantitative feedback, questions you’ve posed, and scores in eight key categories like Plot and Character.

What makes the Complete Manuscript Report different from any other manuscript critique is the consensus our editor is to gather from three full sets of feedback as she curates your report and provides actionable suggestions for revision. Trends become much clearer when three independent unbiased readers agree. To see a sample report and learn more about The Spun Yarn, check out our website and author testimonials.

May I ask something of you? Would you point out when a tool or service it’s for Spanish too? There are a lot of resources that it’s indifferent if they’re in English or not, like articles and books (I love your blog and thesaurus 🙂 ), but when it comes to editing tools or reading services the languages available are key. Or if they cater internationally.

Hi! We don’t always know if a service caters to different languages, but if we post about one and we do know that information, we’ll be sure to share it.
