Writing authentic fear reactions can be challenging—even when we understand our character well. Why? Because each character has their own personality, background, trauma, and triggers, meaning their fear response to perceived threats will be unique.

Showing our character’s fear-driven behavior, choices, and perceptions is a skill worth mastering because fear is a powerful common ground that awakens a reader’s empathy. They know fear. They’ve lived it.
Join Angela as she explores fear’s role in a story and its ability to warp your character’s perception, hijack their logic, and undermine their chances of achieving meaningful goals.
This workshop has two upcoming dates, so choose the one that works best for you.
NOTE: Live seating is limited to 100 for each session, but a replay will be available to everyone who signs up!
This session draws from The Fear Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to What Holds Character Back, which is now available in eBook, PDF, and Print. From Goodreads:

“The best edition they have produced to date.”
“I had big expectations for this book, and was definitely not disappointed.”
“Whether it’s soft and warm romantic encounters or heart-stopping serial killer stories, writers will find this volume easy to follow and relate to.”
“As much as I have used and enjoyed the other books in the series, to me, this is the best one yet.”
We hope you’ll be able to make one of these sessions and look forward to helping you fill your mental toolbox with ideas for putting your character’s fear front and center in your story!

I would love to hear/ view the recorded version of the free worship on fear on 15/5 or 16/5 but I’m touring in Central Spain on those days and time factor would be impossible to coordinate.
Even though I am unable to register for the free workshop, would it be possible to access the recorded version ?
Oh, that’s lovely – I am happy for you!
Typically, we leave the recordings up for around 10 days, so hopefully you can watch the replay. If this window doesn’t work, know that a version of this workshop can also be accessed via the Fear Thesaurus Writing Guide as a bonus resource.
We also may give this workshop again in the future as a paid workshop, too as it is quite popular.
