  • Any tip for debut writers?Getting ready to come out with first book without having much past experiences to talk about.

    • We all have past experiences, just maybe not in writing. What is something tangentially relevant that could make you ‘stick out’ to someone unfamiliar with you or your work? When I was a baby writer with no books out, I wrote in one version of my bio that my grandfather held the record for pulling the longest tapeworm out of a cow. As I was writing horror back then, that made sense – plus a lot of people contacted me to go ‘ewwwww!’ A couple of them I am still contact with, almost 20 years later.
